A catch-all feature that is activated for a specific mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you disable an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited emails, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only real messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox easily in case you’ve got a website hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet exceptionally user-friendly, and it will permit you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one you will find a tiny "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking on it twice will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got another one with this option enabled or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be activated without difficulty if you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will find a mini logo handily situated right next to each one of them. With just a click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the contextual menu that will appear. If any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will notify you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
